I had one of the originals a few years ago - it was a great, do-anything bike, albeit a little heavy for fast, hilly rides. Unlike some audax/touring bikes, they don't handle like a bus and are quite snappy and responsive. The biggest limitation was the lack of clearance on the rear wheel - subsequently amended on the later models. I copied the frame geometry and had a ti version made by Xi'an in China, complete with front and rear disc-mounts and mega-tyre clearances. If you want one, do-it-all type bike, then the Kaff comes pretty close.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    I like my Kaff but......

There are tyre clearance issues at the rear, especially if you fit mudguards, try anything more than 25mm and you find the tyre chaffing on the top retaining bolt.

Also the mini V brakes while good stoppers, run too close to the rims, a proper canti brake carrier at the rear would be a big improvement.

The bike is obviously designed by MTB riders as the head tube is so short.

    Nice ride though.
