Hi guys. Buying an Inbred next Friday...
Doesn't come with pedals so just wondering which aisle to go down, i had a break from mountain biking to road cycling for a bit and really liked being clipped in. Now to be clipped in on the MTB.
I like the eggbeaters, but THREE different types of pedals and i don't know which shoes are compatible with each pedal. Please Help :!:
Also which pedals would you guys recommend, i get muddy regularily and the mud here is gritty and f**ks with gears, breaks and everything that moves.
Answers and advice greatly appreciated.

I think most MTB shoes will work with most MTB pedals.
I use the Shimano M520's on most of my bikes and I've found then very effective and reliable, including in muddy conditions.
The Eggbeaters are a good mud option however I've been on rides where folks have broken them and that'd put me off (most of the groups I've ridden in use the Shimano or Time systems and I've never seen anyone break one of those).
BTW the Inbred is a great bike. Mine is set-up as a commuter at the moment but will be returning to off-road spec soon.0 -
In What Mountain Bike they have just gave Time pedals a glowing review saying that they last for ages and as im by no means the person cleaning the bike after every ride, this attracts me.0
