bontrager Race xxx lite to replace a thomson?

Has anyone had experience with the Bontrager xxx lite on a mtb? I 'm thinking of replacing my thomson steam with this carbon beauty but can it be compatible with my prophet's beefy pike fork and hope pro 2 wheels?

No experience of them, but as long as the steerer size is compatible (1 1/8"?) it'll be fine. Looks a nice stem, and the Carbon Bontrager handlebars I've got are a decent bit of kit.

When I read the title I thought it was going to be about seat posts, how wrong could I be!?

Just be the ususal with CF stuff, don't over tighten, check regularly, get a new one if you stack it etc etc. I think those bontrager XXX stems look pretty nice, light as a feather aswell.
