Blew a tire off the rim - is the rim a write-off?!

Just like it reads, got a new front wheel built up with a Mavic cxp 33, must've got the inner tube pinched by the valve because it got to about 120psi and 'bang'. Now the rim has two bulges where the bead of the tyre popped over the rim.
I'm such a dumbass, and a replacement rim is £40.

    Doh!

Just when you think you've got the knack of the whole tyre/tube changing, you learn that last important lesson :D

Push that valve right up into the tire folks, make sure that the bead is right up against the rim around the valve hole!
