I went into my local cycle shop to purchase a bell sweep r helmet. I came out buying a rudy project actyum. I feel this will be too warm in the summer. Has anyone got any advise on the bell sweep r as i feel i should have brought this helmet  [/url]

I have the Sweep too and it's fab! None better (apart from maybe the Specialized 2D)

It may be a bit less vented than the Bell - but I doubt you'll notice any difference.

What matters is that it fits well.

Why were you swayed i'm wondering? If you go into a shop after a particular product why come out with something else?

the reason i brought the rudy was it seamed to fit very comfy but it was fitted with the pads with built in fly screen witch slows the flow of fresh air over ya head and it was recomended by shop .allso they did not have a bell in for me to try and didnot want to take the chance without trying on :(

I've just bought a Bell Sweep r but haven't had a chance to try it out yet. It seems to sit very nicely on my head but I must say I'm not too keen on the straps, they don't seem to lie flat against my face if you know what I mean, but then again it's new so I guess they will become more supple in time and hopefully it will prove to be a very nice helmet.
