Slipping Chain

Hi everyone, I have just fitted a new chain on the bike and although I should have replaced the chain rings back and front due to economics I have not done so and the chain is now slipping.
The link I used to connect it was a little stiff so I have freed this up but does anyone have any other ideas on why it is slipping.
Would appreciate any advice, Cheers.

Hi, i think you have answered your own question in the first paragraph !!
You will probably find the most used gear combinations are too worn for a new chain, try your least used front / rear combination to prove it.He is not the messiah, he is a very naughty boy !!0 -
Most likely, replacing the rear cassette will stop the slipping, but there is a strong possibility that the rings need to go, also.0
