MTBing near Southampton
Hi All,
I want to go riding over the long weekend, but I don't really fancy going to Queen Elizabeth (might be full, will be very muddy). I don't mind travelling a little way. I'm based in Southampton, but fairly new to the area.
I want to be able to do a decent length (~20+ miles), and I'd rather not have to map read too much.
So, where should I go?
Thanks in advance.

Hi
I'm also in Southampton but more of a roadie. There's a great big enclosure at Lords Wood where you can get lost for hours however it more techie then distance. Still I can spend 2 to 3hrs in there and have a good workout. Watch out for the young guys on the motorcross bikes though.

Alternatively you can work you way through to Chandlers Ford, nip on the road to Hursley and then pick up a few trails before heading onto the South Downs.
