Hi,

Just about to splash out on some new shorts but never tried assos before and the problem with online shopping is the sizing!

Im 5'7 with 30cm waist, not sure wether to go for small or medium,. Can anyone help with this odd question? Any experience with sizing on Assos bibshorts?

Thanks!

    30cm waist?

I'm usually a large with Assos and have a 33 inch waist and am 6' tall. My experience is that they usually come up small with regards to other brands.
  • Assuming you mean 30 inch waist then i'd go for a medium (i'm 5'9" with 33" waist and large fits perfectly). you can always send them back if they don't fit

Thanks for the extremely quick replies!

Its been a couple of yrs since i last bought bibshorts-i got a small in pearl izumi (perfect) and medium in nike (again perfect) So the other week i bought some more nike shorts in medium, different model but still nike and they are too big and very uncomfortable! This is why im unsure!

I know i can send them back but its a bit of hassle

For gods sake go and try some on, with any bib shorts this is important to get the right fit. With Assos, due to their tight cuts, it is CRITICAL!!!!

    Medium

I'm 5' 8" with 30 inch waist and the medium F1 Mille bibshorts fit me perfectly.

What if none of your local shops stock assos stuff? And the local evans only stock XL bibshorts (useless shop) and besides, my local shops don't even have any bibshorts in stock yet! Im not wasting £20 in petrol or whatever to go try something on.

PEDYLAN-thanks! Thats what ive ordered-very cheap on Ribble at the mo

Up to you mate don't say i didn't warn you. Assos shorts should be perfect fitting when crouching over the bike and frankly a little too small for you when standing off the bike. Just to let you know.

    Whereabouts are you btw?

Then you go mail order. Hopefully with a shop which understands that there is a level of risk involved in getting the right size so will happily exchange the goods should they need to.

    I hope they fit.

I went by the sizing chart on the Assos website and the fit was perfect when they arrived. Got the Intermediate jersey last week at a good price on Wiggle.
