Different Makes Of Wheels

ok.....

if i had a set of campag wheels, mavic wheels, and shimano wheels (for example) all with the same cassette on the rear, would they all work fine on the same bike!!?? i mean you could just swap them about willy nilly, and they would change gear ok?

    Is this a trick question? I have 3 sets of wheels, all with Campa 10 sp cassettes and they work interchangeably on a Campa 10 sp derailleur/shifter combination- usually with no additional cable adjustment, just drop them in.

    No, they won't, unless all the cassettes are the same brand as the drivetrain. If you're running Shimano fit Campag wheels, with Shimano cassettes on all 3 wheels, with a Shimano drivetrain, it should work. If some cassettes are Shimano and some are Campag, then no.
