Anyone familiar with the Equalizer shock on Scott Ransoms?

Im having a bit of trouble getting the right pressure in the negative chamber of my equalizer rear shock. I use the supplied pump to put in about 370psi of pressure, and then remove the pump. But when I reconnect it to check the pressure is still there, the pump says theres only about 250psi.
Why does it always go down, and not stay at 370ish psi?!

P.S. Im doing all the other things right ie. shock is in full travel mode, and I do the positive first then the negative.

  • be careful with the valve on the negative chamber, mine snapped clean off while i was pumping air in  i couldnt get air in it at all and then after about 20 attempts the valve broke off the equalizer shock.
its now back in the shop getting fixed.i was having the same problem with the pump supplied with the bike when unscrewing the pump off the shock air would come out and the shock would deflate.
