I just got my new Izoard this week, but unfortunately cut me knee open so will be off for a fortnight. I have it in my lounge room and just can't stop looking at it
I went with the Campag Centaur but upgraded wheelset with new Eurus and finishing kit from Stella Azzurra.
Red or Blue?

wow - good spec!!
the wheels are gorgeous - I have them on my roubaix - i bet your's is a very sweet looking bike!0 -
Looks sweet...until I put my emu looking legs over them
For the record, I went for the blue. Either colour look equally great, but I can see why more people would go for the red, so I went with the opposite as I like to be different.
Must say the hand painted finish is sweet, even to the point where I can see a mislaid brush stroke on the top tube which they've only partially tidied up.
Some might seek perfection, but for mind it adds a bit of character to it. 8)

Two nice sounding specs.
I hope to place an order for an Izoard with Centaur (carbon hopefully) groupset and silver Fulcrum 3s in the next week or so. Also getting my DT Swiss wheels converted to run on the Izoard. Should look the mutts nuts.
I'm opting for the red (a load of red Tricomps and kit/apparell) though I prefer the front end of the blue colourways (just the white and black fork/headtube).
I've got the new pedals, a pair of Campag Centaur bottles and cages and a Cateye V3 on order. Now i just need the bike... and some nice weather.0 -
Nice, almost went with a pair of DT Swiss myself.
Donlt commit without checking out http://www.epic-cycles.co.uk/wilier.htm first.
I'm just waiting for the Garmin Edge 705 to hit the markets, as an Aussie fresh off the boat who lives in London I can just see myself getting lost in the country side and having to train it home, either that or riding up the A4

Thanks. I saw Epic a while back and don't think they could be beaten on price. I did contact them and they were nothing but helpful. Just wish they were on my doorstep.
If I'd opted for the Orbea Orca I'd of used Epic as they've got some fantastic deals.. There's a Orbea dealer near me but their Orca starts at 3k and thats way beyond my budget (started out at £1600 and has ballooned to £2300 ).
I've got a Wilier dealer about 30/35 miles away though so its a car/van journey away but he's doing me a deal and they'll get the servicing etc.0 -
Fair nuff,
Although they do free delivery if that makes a difference.
Either way, you won't have any regrets.

I think I've scored in this departmet. The shop I'm buying from will deliver it personally in their van. Hopefully a better deal than my previous mail order bikes where I'm trying to keep the courier present while I inspect the packaging for damage etc. reluctant to just sign for it they scarper.
Thanks anyway Emu0 -
I was confident if anything was damaged or scratched it was covered by warranty but I know what you mean.
At the time I got my bike I accidentally also got delivered to me someone elses Specialized Tarmac frame aswell, and what made it worse was that in my absence (I was at work), TNT in their iinfinite wisdom just let one of the neighbouring flat residents sign for it.
I could so easily have just taken it down to my LBS for some qucik cashola.

My only incident was when the left SRAM shifter on my current MTB was broken in transit. Externally the packaging was fine - and you can't really keep the bloke there for 20 mins while you fight through the packaging - so I signed for it as sound.
It wasn't till I got further into it I discovered the floppy shifter.
Sent an email and Edinburgh Bike were very good about it. I had my Allez in for a service in the Newcastle stre so I just took the MTB up and as they didn't have the specfic shifter in stock they just fitted a better SRAM front shifter. They did however offer to either mail out a replacement or uplift the bike, take it back, and fix it.
My thoughts with were that while I could save a few quid in the initial outlay with Epic, if I buy from the (fairly) local LBS, after the bikes running in period I can take it too them for its post sales service to sort the cable stretch and any other niggles out.
Hope you enjoy your Izoard.0
