Me and the Hubby are thinking of going to Dalby, but as my parents are taking us there in their car is there a place they can drop us off without them having to go up the toll road? They'll be going into Scarborough and not coming into the Forest it seems bad to have to pay the £7 toll twice.
Anyone got any info plzzzzzzzz.?...Ta , Caz xxx

There is a drop off spot but it means a long draggy climb back up to the top when they pick you up.

I havnt been up for a week or so but latley theyve been putting in a new toll hut on the main south enterance from Thornton Dale so you can go all the way to the visitor center without paying. if not you can turn around at the roundabout just before the hut or in the passing places and get dropped off, if you havn't been its about a mile downhill to the center so no pedaling just uphill on the way back.
i wouldnt recomend getting dropped off at Thornton Dale as it would be a bit of a slog up the hill and down the main road.
    hope this helps, Dave

Edit: if you do have to pay the toll the tickets last all day there so you can go in and out as much as you want.

you will absolutely love it at Dalby, let us know how you get on. Was it your other half who had a bad injury recently?

    Yeah Dalby rocks!

I live near Guisborough so it's not too far. I went about 4 months ago with a few mates and it was incredible. Tight and tricky in some places but some sweet downhills and most of all a real challenge...you will love it!

Let us know how you get on.

GT...nah it wasn't my hubby who has injured..only injury he's had is trying to kill himself at Llandegla by going too fast when we wasn't ready...nearly gave himself a heart attack lmao
