Budget Bike Upgradability

Could use a bit of advice as i am buying my first serious bike.
Have a £300 voucher to use in halfords and am struggling to choose between the GT aggressor XC3 and the Carrera Vulcan 08.
I have a fair idea that these bikes are similar in terms of features and kit, but which one would be easier to upgrade when i decide to change to hydraulic brakes, different forks, etc.
Please Help.

They are both as upgradeable as each other, have the same fittings and fixtures.0

If you can stretch to £379 for the Carrera Kraken you will get a double butted frame,27 gears,Fork lockout and Hydraulic disc brakes ! Thats a lot of upgrades for an extra £79.
If not then either of the two bikes you mention are a good starting point and easy to upgrade over time.0
