Condor Squadra or Barrachi
Has anyone got any experience of either of these bikes? I think both have been updated for 2008.
I know a lot of people don't like Condor as they think they're expensive and that the customer service is rubbish. However, I've not had any problems with them, they're 10 minutes from me and I'm prepared to pay a premium for a bike than I can customise somewhat and also get some good advice! My options are Evans and Cyclesurgery locally neither of whom offer what I want!

The Barrachi is now the only monocoque in the racing range - the geometry is as it comes from Dedacciai - which is more relaxed than the Condor specified race geometry. So I guess it depends upon how relaxed you want the bike to feel and also the dimensions of each frame in the size that you are going for e.g. the Barrachi is aimed at the sportive market but in the larger sizes it has a shorter headtube than the Squadra (that's all aside from the frame material).0

Thanks for the feedback. I do want something a bit more upright so it sounds like the Baracchi may be the better bet...I assume being an all carbon bike that it may ride a little bit softer too which appeals as I will probably use the bike for commuting too.0

it just depends on what frame size you need - a 58 Squadra actually has a higher front end and a shorter top tube than the 58 Barrachi (and a lower BB). Although the Squadra has the steeper angles which give a sharper feel0

I did read a post on here from Bern (@ Condor) saying that the Squadra is the stiffer of the two, if that has any bearing.

When I inquired previously (last year's models) the advice offered was that the Barrachi offered the more upright/ comfortable/ less sporting riding position. At the time I was so concerned about my lower back problem that I deferred to a Spesh Roubaix Pro. I have no doubt that the Condors would be more fun and I was/ would be tempted by the Barrachi.

Hopefully I will be able to try them both out, I think I have read somewhere that one of them has been quite heavily revised for 2008 but for the life of me can't remember where I read that or which one.
Riding position will definitely be they defining issue for me though all things being equal the smoother ride of the Baracchi would I think win the day,
I think I will upgrade the wheelset whichever bike I get I am not sure what they come with as standard. Brochure doesn't say which is somewhat frustrating!0
