Does anyone have any advice on best way to post/courier a mountain bike?
Cost? Bubble wrap and a box?

Any help much appreciated, thanks

first find a carrier, then find out their package sizes. then pack accordingly

there is also tips on packing in the FAQ part of the forum..

take the QR squers out of the wheels as they will be very prone to damage.

I posted one fairly recently, I got a box from halfords and packed it in that.
I had to take the wheels off and squeeze them in next to the frame and even had to deflate the tyres it was that tight a fit  (it was a large frame size)
The saddle and other bits just fill the gaps.

Parcel 2 Go actually collected it from me at work and delivered it, it cost about £20.00. Its a bit of hassle getting a quote from them, but if you email them the dimensions of the box and a weight you'll be fine.
It does take 2-3 days for delivery but it was the cheapest, best option I could find. The only snag was you have to pay extra if you want a higher insurance value (I forget what the max was but mine was a comparatively cheap bike.)

Sorry to dig up this old thread (I came here via Google) but does anyone know of any couriers who will drop a bike off, and pick another bike up from the same place to ship back to me? I may have a trade organized for my Demo.

    Cheers,
