This morning I filtered through a big queue of traffic and sat at the front of 3 lanes inline with the middle lane (the left one was a turning left and the traffic lights go earlier than straight on)

as the turn left goes green I get a little peep from behind where someone who's pushed in on the middle and wants to queue jump to the left, but I'm in the way and completely in the right. After the peep I turned round to see what was going on and saw the guy wanted to come through me, but this motorcyclist started having a right go at the driver and told me to stay where I was and had a blazing row I felt quite embarrassed and just waited for the lights to turn. Saved me doing the same

Good on him, another road user standing up for a cyclist I gave him the thumbs up as he went past me later...

Great story! I despise people who queue jump in cars or overtake for no apparent reason. I saw one women overtake another car on a residential street street on my commute in this morning and all she achieved was being 1 car ahead at the traffic lights a bit further up, which was exactly where I passed them, and I don't even think they got through on the same phase as me :-) I think it's just a London thing, loads of jumped up idiots in sports cars who think they own the road and for some reason don't have to queue like the everyone else!
