British Cycling or CTC?

Evening all,

I'm joining a new club soon but they insist that their members have third party insurance.
I know this comes standard with membership to British Cycling and CTC. My question is which of these two deserves my money the most!
They're both £35pa and can't see any difference between the protection offered. Does anyone have any opinion on who I should join and are there any advantages for one over the other.
Thanks.

The CTC is the organisation that represents the interests of cyclists to the government. BC is primarily concerned with organising racing. They are both laudable organisations but I would always support the CTC as a non-racing cyclist.

The CTC magazine is quite good too. It's the only one I read regularly.

Thanks for that Geoff. I don't race so I'll probably go with CTC if that's the case.

...I had experience of the CTC legal services when I had a bad accident and I have to say they were first class...

I just signed up with CTC.

    Great 3rd party cover.
