Righ as some of you migh know i have upgraded my rear brake from an Avid 3 to Formula "The One". Much to my stupidity and ignorance i never made sure that the hose lengh was right and so now have to shorten the hose.

My questions are 1. If i am having to cut my current hose should i just upgrade the hose to a braided goodridge hose?

2. If not how easy is it to cut a hose at home and what tools/fittings do i need to attach the hose back??

3. With the back brake being on my left which way do you route your hose to ensure noo kinks or pulling on turning the handle bars??

4.Anyone know where i can get a bleed kit for formula from and can i use normal good old car DOT4 brake fluid when they talk about it? Or is it push bike DOT4 or something special??

5. If you recommend i upgrade to goodride hoses how easy is it to cut them and what tools do it need?

Many thanks and im sure there will be more questions to follow.

fittings come with the brake. bleed kit is needed.

    DOT4 is DOT4.

if you go braided then you will need to get the formula ends for the hose you get.
