Campag front mech with Shimano STI levers - will it work?

I am building a bike up and will go Campy later this year when funds permit. In the mean time can I use a campag front mech with my exisitng STIs to save me having to buy a Shimano one?

    Its seems to. Check out the spec on the Rourkie in this months C+. Its Shimano with a Campy front mech
