Giant FCR 2 vs Trek 7.5 FX

Need some opinions to help me decide. I'm after a new bike for commuting and have settled on either the Giant FCR 2 or the Trek 7.5 fx. Both are about the same price, £495. In terms of spec which is the better bike / value, or is it too close to call and more down to whether I like the colour /ride more.?
I'm fairly new to cycling so don't really understand where these two models fit in the scale of quality.
I ride about 60 - 80 miles a week, if that helps.
