Hi all

Im looking at the £300ish end of the market for some wheels - zondas vs kysrium elites is the current debate ....I know the ksyriums are heavier but I hear zondas are pretty flexy at the front....

does anyone have experience of both / either - what do you think of them?
thanks

I've got the cheaper Ksyrium Equipes and they are strong and bomb proof - not too bothered about weight, as I'm 12st and powerful, so strength and durability are key. No issues with them chattering on the pads , even when climbing a steep cobbled hill - they performed faultlessly

I've had zondas for the past 2 years. I weigh in at 14 stone, have had no problems with flexing or reliability in general.
One of my mates is always complaining of brake rub with his ksyriums tho.
both good wheels, suppos eit comes down to looks, brand loyalty etc.

    100m Yeah right.
  • Thanks for the advice everyone - I read about the flex on roadbikereview - I dont have any particular loyalty to either brand but i do like the look of the zondas so will probably go for them.

    thanks again!

I have Zondas on the RR bike, very happy with them too. The front has survived some pretty big knocks, including another rider's bike being bounced off it when a load of guys went down in front of me in a sprint last year.

Hypocrisy is only a bad thing in other people.

I'm 15st and have the 2007 Elites. Have probably done 5000km. Excellent. No brake rub and no need to true yet.

Campag Neutrons are a higher spec than Zondas, and I bought them from Ribble in January for £270.
