Hi,
Anybody advise whether this is a worth while ride over 4-5 days? Are the roads busy/good quality? Is it possible to hire a MTB in Wirzburg?
Thanks
M

There's a bike route from top to bottom, so you don't have to ride on the road. There are a few routes to ride on (we got lost on a coulple) and the road is quite busy. My wife and I started at the botton (the Disney-like castle) and went as far as Landsberg. By then it had become a bit flat and boring, and so we hopped on a train. It's an uphill climb to the bottom0

You can check out this page http://www.germany-tourism.de/cycling/cycling.htm or you can e-mail the German tourist office and they will send you free information.0

is not a bad guide book. I have a copy buried somewhere, it's a ride I fancy a go at.If I had a stalker, I would hug it and kiss it and call it George...or Dick

I've heard Nurnburg is a great town (I have a friend who comes from there). Germany routes are great, and all the hotels I've been to in Germany while cycling have been able to store my bike safely, which is just what you need when on tour.
Good luck, it should be a great ride.0
