Adjustment axle screws

Can adjustment axle screws, the type that were on racers in the olden days and probably fazed out in the early 90's, be adapted for the use of a rear mudguard. I could use P-Clips but the screw hole on the rear drop out would be neater. For the front forks I will have to use a P-Clip. Are there any nice specialist P-Clips out there that don't look blockhead and lacking aesthetic charm?

Any info much appreciated.

Thanks Gary

IF you mean the sprung bolts that pass through the rear of the drop out at 90 deg to the axle, then I don't really see how use them to mount 'grd stays - nor that would be strong enough! Different sized P-clips are available to suit tube dia + shape. SJS stocks them I think if difficult to find locally.
