i'm thinking of changing a seized up pair of forks that are 43cm tall, for a pair of working ones off another bike that are 45cm tall. They both have the same amount of travel (supposidly)

will 2cm change the handling dramatically? it's a 1999ish Scott XC bike with a super long stem.

(i'm measuring fork height from axle to top of crown)

Every inch (25mm) of axle to crown height changes the head angle by about 1 degree.

cheers! less than 1 degree can't be too disasterous. probably.

I'll fit it tomorrow and see if the headtube feels like it's going to snap off.
