Spreading a Raleigh twenty

Has anybody here spread the frame from 110 to 120?

    should be fine, you're only spreading 5mm on each side.

    use the sheldon string technique to check alignment after.

    Don't know the bike, but I'd imagine it'd be fine. Just chuck the wheel in and see what it's like?

    Not yet, but I'll be doing it soon. Got a Nexus 7 to drop in mine.

    In fact its terrifyingly easy!
    Using timbers about 4' to 6' long you should have plenty of control, but you will be surprised at how little effort is required. Bending them out and back in again is a Bad Thing, so have a gentle tweak and get the string out to check.
    I found that my frame alignment wasnt that good to start with, and I was actually able to improve it.
