Spokes for Zonda wheels-straight pull
I managed all but to collapse my back wheel, having changed the chainset from compact to standard, without changing the chain......by forgetting which chainring I was in, and inadvertently selecting big/big-the derailleur crashed into the spokes breaking most on the drive side
These are straight pull, bladed spokes and so far, I've not been able to source any more-Mercian are indicating possibly, they may be able to get hold of some, at a cost of £38-seven spokes!
A source of suitable spokes would be much appreciated, as would thoughts about using ordinary double butted DT Swiss Comp-my Zondas are black

This is the big downside of trendy factory wheels! Try the importer - R J Chicken I believe, although someone might be along soon to correct that.0

... and I thought 35p/spoke for the DT stainless I bought for my new wheels was expensive. When I complained about paying 7/- each for spokes I was told the price for new stock would be nearer 12./- ! Shows my age when I remember you could buy a set of spokes for a 40 hole motor cycle wheel for a quid - a tanner a spoke

I thought they had a good reputation for service.....until now. They haven't bothered to reply to my emails about the spokes they have shown on their site
Nice to hear from you Monty Dog. I took a step forward today with my disc braked crosser.....installed the rear Avid 7BB, seems OK
The front has been out of stock at Chain Reaction since I ordered on 30/1, but I'm hoping to get it and instal next week“It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best..." Ernest Hemingway0 -
Ken, I did the same thing to my shamal rear. Got replacement set from www.italiancycleproducts.co.uk -expensive at around £100 tho' and, yes, it certainly makes one aware of the disadvantages of factory built wheels. If only handbuilts had the same bling factor.....0
