big hit travel adjustment

right this might sound a bit nooby but here goes, pon the back of my big hit there is two positions to mount the shock does thi effect the travel and if so which positon is for which travel thanks in advance
i have red the manual on the spesh website it didnt mention anything bout this.

for the 06 there is not travel change just angles. the different versions of the frame/bike had the same sized shock (i2i) but they had differing strokes to give differing travel bikes.

ahhh ok no worries in the shop they tod me it had 8. something n 6. something travel :S oh well.
