What should I get for around £800??

Im new and looking for something around that price and unsure what to get... something like VooDoo or Boardman??? grateful for any help

So you're looking for a hardtail, yeah? At that price, theres alot of choice. The Boardman looks quite good. Go and ride different bikes and see how they feel.

Go to a few local stores and check them out.

For my Money I' go for a CUBE LTD Pro and spend the extra on upgrades. Stroker brakes on an £800 bike - A bargain

Yeah its a Hardtail I'm looking for, I've been told to have a look at the Boardman from a guy I work with... I'll have a look around at the weekend.

The kinda bike I'm after is something that will be good off road and also for using on rides like coast 2 coast?

At a push I could go to £1000 then I'd be able to get the Boardman Pro, would you recommend I do that?

boardman was a tt/ roadracer buying a mtb with his name on makes about as much sense as buying a road bike that was once used by Steve Peat. or for that matter a van that was owned by Valentino Rossi

Go on wiggle, the focus bikes are good. I managed to then get on ebay and snap up an unused 07 Raven witth F100 RLC'S on for 497 quid Youd be looking either Raven or Killer Bee, both are very good value, and Killer Bee looks sick, mate has it and loves it.

Hi there, if you're thinking of doing the coast to cost, you might want to think about a steel bike like the Rock Lobster 853 Tig Team from Merlin. It'd be more comfy than an aluminium bike for long days out.

Can't fault the other recommendations here for value though.
