At last I've got some spare time tomorrow in between kids football practice and the rugby (I'm going to give the Scot v Italy game a miss but settle down in time for England v Ireland) and weather permitting will be trying out the clipless pedals for the first time :)

I've read the various bits of advice on these forums and practiced clipping in and out on the trainer.

So wish me luck, I'll report back on Monday with how it went :? :)

    Good luck!

I did the same last weekend, didn't bother with practising though, woss!
Not as scary as I was expecting after reading everything on here.
No comedy falls yet either. ....... touches wood with fingers crossed!

I've had them for three weeks and I'm loving them. So long as you plan ahead (clip out early, make sure you're in a low gear before you slow/stop), you'll be fine :D

You'll never look back - promise.

Come to think of it, you won't dare or you'll fall off :lol::lol:

All went well with no incidents to speak of. One small point though is that I find it easier to unclip with my left leg but easier to clip in again with the right leg :? I guess it's just a matter of racking up some miles and getting used to them :D

Once you go clipless you can't go back.

After leaving my cycling shoes at my parents, I decided to swap flat pedals back onto my road bike. First hill I came to, I had to walk up it. I kept trying to pull my rear foot up.
