Campag chainrings - finish peeling off

I have an 07 campag chorus UT chainset. There is only just over 1800 miles on them and already the surface coating to the chainrings is peeling off which i think is very poor for what is meant to be a premium product. the question is: Is this an isolated incident, have i been very unlucky?
I've had campag for over 10 years now and this is the first real problem i've had (aside from grenading a new mirage rear hub in 4 months of wet weather cycling) and i wondered if any one else had had a similar problem. I was going to get a chorus compact chainset for this years etape but now i'm not so sure.
I always used to go my the maxim that shimano wears out and campag wears in but this is making me reconsider

Never had that although the Campag stickers are rubbing off on my Veloce chainset. I do go with your campag wears in theory though - saying that I used to have a pair of Shimano 105 calipers purchased in the mid nineties and they are still as good as the day I bought them.
You could always see if this kind of thing is covered under the campag warranty.0 -
According to my LBS there's no one handling Camapg warranties in the uk at the moment so it looks like i have to fork out for a set of TA chain rings in the meantime :roll:pm0

Try Mercian. Other posters have indicated that they now look after warranties following the closure of the company that handled warranties (name I forgot).
You could also try and contact Campag via their website.

If they don't handle warranties, they may be able to point you in the right direction. They are very helpful and supply campag parts - for instance, I got hold of a tension bolt for my Veloce rear mech from them.
I think what you need is a Campag Service Centre, which I am sure Mercian are. If not, try Race Scene as I think these guys are a Campag Service Centre.

What size rings are you after ? I've got a few unused Record (2006)Recipe: shave legs sparingly, rub in embrocation and drizzle with freshly squeezed baby oil.0

I'd like to know what is peeling off
All my rings are anodized - it doesn't peel off0 -
I'm not sure but its definately some sort of plating - possibly nickel and its peeling off badly. it seems that campag have decicided that after years of using a perfectly durable anodised finish that plating represents some sort of 'progress'. it's probably down to some chumps in marketing decreeing that a new look was required - w****ers
However my LBS has copme up trumps and they replaced them with a set of hard anodised TA chainrings yesterdaypm0
