I have been waiting for my 17.5 inch hustler for 6 months now and theres still no sign of it arriving any time soon!
I can get a 15.5 or a 19.5 now and was wondering if anyone had any advice on whether to get one of these or just to wait. My height is 5'9

Did you try one out for sizing before you ordered?
I'd say the 17.5 is the right size for you, so i'd carry on waiting if i was you. No point shelling out on a bike thats the wrong size.0 -
I can't advise you about the Hustler, but I'm 5ft 9in also and I have a 17.5in Cove Handjob.
It's just the right size for me and I wouldn't want the frame to be smaller or larger.
So if I were in your position I'd sit tight. Imagine if you spent all that money and then couldn't enjoy the bike fully because you were always wondering if you had the wrong size?
And make more angry phone calls to the LBS/importer too of course.0 -
Thanks for the advice!
I saw a review on chain reaction stating that the 15.5 would be ok but I wasn't convinced.
Guess I'll just need to keep waiting and complaining!!0 -
If I were 5'9 i would be happy to get a 15.5 in this type of 5 inch travel bike. Im 5'7 and ideally would like more standover height on my meta 5.5.1, 15inch bike. Easier to throw around to! If I am to believe a recent article it is hard for manufactures to make 5 inch travel bikes too small.(height wise) And my meta 15.5 inch frame is much higher up than my 15.5 rigid bike. Just my view and you would really need to try one out before you decide on anything.0

I would suggest holding out for the 17.5". With a bike like this, it's worth waiting to get the right one. I'm 5'10" and ride a 17.5" Hustler and if anything, I find mine a fraction too short, which would suggest that, with you being an inch shorter, it would be the ideal size for you.
A fine choice of bike, by the way!East Anglia Biking Collective!
