Chain compatability
Long story but I have found myself with a brand new 8 speed chain and no bike but someone at work has no 7 speed chain but having a bike.
Can an 8 speed chain (KMC Z82) be used on a 7 speed chainring/rear cassette? Looking at the 8 speed spec it has the same 1/2" × 3/32 size as a randomly selected 7 speed spec and it looks like it should do - but I'm not 100% sure.
Any ideas if this will fit?
