Rear shock upgrade

I'm contemplating upgrading the rear shock it's a X-Fusion O2R (kinda like a X-Fusion O2 RPV on my Pitch comp to something with a pro pedal/lock out facility and in the kinda price range I can afford I've found these
Fox RP2 £125
Fox RP3 £165
They appear to be the only ones I can find with a i2i of 200mm (7.875") and a Stroke length of 57.2mm (2.25")
Is the RP3 really worth the extra 40 notes over the RP2 or am I paying for summit I'll hardly use?
Riding wise it's trail centres, mini DH, mucking about round single track nothing too scary.

I still dont see why you want to change your shock a 4-bar set up does not really need any platform damping.
Also for any DH use you want the pro pedal off. Personally i could think of a better way to spend the money."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I'm a bit comfused as to why you wouldn't recommend an upgrade to a better shock with "Pro-pedal" afterall I do use the bike for trail centres and there fore there is quite alot of climbing involved0
