/I scratched the alu frame of my bike at the weekend. Is there a particular type of paint that i can use to cover them up eg enamal model paint or standard car spay paint.

I always find it kind of a relief when I get the first scratch, scuff or paint chip on something. Means I can stop worrying about keeping it pristine!

How bad / deep is the scratch? Has it gone through to bare metal?
Even if the voices aren't real, they have some very good ideas.

Most bike shops will have touch up paint from the suppliers. Ask the shop you got it from.

touch up paint comes with a small application brush in the lid.

  • anybpaint to seal the surface- and then cutting a patch from similar coloured insulating tape looks no more obtrusive than trying to colur match paint- and prepares for the next mark

nail varnish works well. Some market stalls have a vast range of colours. Just wheel your bike up and colour match it there.
Recipe: shave legs sparingly, rub in embrocation and drizzle with freshly squeezed baby oil.
