I can remember years ago when RST forks were actually classed as being pretty good. Always wanted a pair or Mozo Pro's. Look at them now, beaten by Suntours!
  • Yeah, I remember that too! Some old RST triple crown jobbies which had better reviews than my Manitou X-Vert R's I think.

    The XXL?

RST Strike is a burlier All Mountain fork, the SR is for XC and trail riding.

RSTs have no UK importer, so dont see many - the top end stuff is pretty good!

Is the Strike one of the OK RSTs, or the absolutely pants ones? As far as I was aware, the heirachy in forks goes Zoom, RST then Suntour.

There are some XXL's on eBay as we speak.

Wonder why RST no longer have a UK importer? I'd say they were the most common forks in the 90's

I wouldnt say there was an hierarchy, as the models vary enormously. The real cheap SRs are terrible, like the M2000 and XCT. The strike is more about structural strength than damping performance. Here are some of the better forks:

Though I havent seen any ;-)
