Cancellara vs Ballan with Chinny coming out on top.

Proper classics riders dueling. I hope some video emerges.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

Amazed to see Linus Gerdemann in third spot. He looks a little light for the classics.

Jan Ullrich winter training technique perhaps?

There's some real good ones amongst that lot. It's a beautiful part of the world, and I think Siena is my favourite place I've been to.

    Good win for the Chin.

OMG I found a cycling related link before iain did

It's the final 15 km or thereabouts, but still gives a good idea of what the race is like. The final 1km is spectacular - imagine a group of 20 or 30 riders piling through there - mass carnage!

The finish was also quite a bit hillier than I imagined. Really cool race by the look of it - hopefully Eurosport or cycling.tv will pick it up for next year.

Cheers for digging those out. The 'strade sterrata' or 'strade bianchi' as they are known are a bit like compacted cat-litter (can't think of a better illustration!), so that is a pretty tough race as there were quite a few sections of it in the race. Not sure it's as hard as the Northern Classics but you can see they are presenting it in similar terms.

Good finish - always good to see the top classics riders going full bore.

Btw, is the CSF Group Navigare kit the ugliest ever?

Yeah, first time I've seen the new Panaria kit... makes Slipstream look tasteful
