There have been dozens of posts on this topic. Search for relavent words.
Look at the Airlines requirements for carrying bikes. EasyJet and RyanAir both charge £20-£25ew and require some packaging. Bike is booked on-line with your ticket. Be the first to check-in with your bike ready prepared and carry a copy of the airlines bike requirements with you. Do NOT carry tools or bike bits as hand luggage, they need to go in the hold.

Check out BA too. They don't charge for bikes and it might therefore be cheaper to fly with them. You will need to get your self a bike bag or a spare cardboard box from your LBS to put the bike in.

The only thing to look out for is other tourists in the carousel stampede when you arrive. They don't care of you're trying to unload a large cumbersome package from the carousel and will gladly barge you out of the way in order to get their own bags!
