changing brake blocks

hi folks,
trying to change a set of brake blocks on my good bike to zipp carbon blocks... thing is.. I can't get the existing ones out! :oops: they're centaur calipers and it looks like the slip in ones... but for love nor money can I get them out!! am I missing something silly?

    Undo the securing bolt/screw and apply the brakes and roll the bike backwards. If not then you'll have to take the complete assembly off the calliper and mount the block in a bench vice and push the holder off the block.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    hmmm no securing screw on these ones.... looks like its brute force and ignorance then?

    We are talking about cartridge type brake blocks????
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    Looking at pics elsewhere on t'internet it does look to be a case of BF&I.
