Santa Cruz Heckler

Hi All,
I currently have an 07 Stumpy FSR expert, but don't fancy paying £120 every time I service the shock. I also don't find the Brain shock that inspiring. I am looking to get the Santa Cruz Heckler. Any thoughts between the two. Opinions, as always, warmly welcomed. I did know the cost of the shock service before I bought the bike but I just don't think the Brain gives a hugh advantage, that justifies it's cost. Also I might pinch various bits of the Stumpy to put on the Heckler.
Cheers

Tried the Stumpy Expert 08 model and could not under stand that myself
ride with the brain firm and the seat keeps wacking your ass has it wants to lock back into hardtail and two soft kick on the pedals and too wallowy
And just too safe not inspiring to take you to the next level
I bought the Orange 5 AM bang on bike also try the Orange 5 Pro
But the Heckler is a very good bike too Leisure Lakes sell one at £ 1,999.00p
You cant beat a single pivot mines faster uphill than the Stumpy
just notice the back digging into the ground.
Try a Orange 5 too and youll love it0 -
i have a heckler which i bought 18 months ago and i love it, i went for the all mountain upgrade to get the hope m4 brakes and bigger tyres, also had the fox talas 36 forx so it can handle anything, great for downhilling, trail riding, climbs really well, the bike is very sure footed with very predictable handling, i usually run my forks on 130mm but adjust to 160mm for downhill or 100mm for steep climbs. it hasn't let me down yet, definately recommended0

Paul Williams same spec as me cant beat that must say those forks are
superb and brakes well fab too.
Just need to invest in some body armour
Ive seen the new version of the Heckler and looks nice
Cant go wrong with the single pivot I love it you know whats going
on behind you, and digs in and gets you up those hills.
Buy one cant go wrong also try an Orange 5 AM or Pro 5
Take a test bike out for the weekend0
