All the way. (For me at least)

Some people tape just past the hoods. What do you want it's your bike?

Matter of personal preference but I see no point in more than the bare minimum to cover the area that you grip, then finish neatly with electrical tape.

When you said wing bars, I took this to mean aero TT bars.

For normal drops, up to the change in width in the bars,

In the end Stuey, how you tape the bars is up to you. Mog has got some nice bars which hold his cables in place without the need of tape. I don't have anything to hold the cable in place on my wing bars after they leave the shifters, and I don't fancy the cables flapping around too much, so I tape all the way along.

What sort of bars do you have Stuey?

I think you need to go up to something like the Carbon ITM K-Sword bars to get the cable guides...

Where'd you get your bars from Mog?

They came from Aspire Velotech in the States.

I was lucky, they were already on the bike when I got it........

I took the ITM winglites off my Bianchi as I didn't find the flats comfortable at all. The tape stopped just past the hoods so the cables were hanging loose but wasn't a problem.
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

I just found the flat bar uncomfortable when riding on the tops - tried tilting at different angles but that then affects the angle of the drops.
Maybe if they'd been taped all the way it'd have made a difference.
