Nah thats bull. I'v got a 2006 stinky deluxe and its the best bike i'v had up to now. I don't exactly send it off 40ft hucks but I give it a fair share of abuse and it's held up fine. Seals n all.

The standard 888 they put on it isn't bad at all, mine was super smooth. But I did recently change it for a rc2x because there alot more ajustable. But thats the only reason, the original was alright.

The only drawback i'd say is weight, you cant pedal it uphill for too long without breaking a sweat, but that goes for all downhill/ freeride bikes. I'd say go for it if you have the cash.

    Hope that helps
  • Thanks for that, i decided to go for the commencal mini dh though and i sure as hell aint regrettin it :o
