Chain length etc

Hello,

I am changing my cassette from a 11-21 to a 12-27. I assume I will need a new chain...what length should I have it? I am using a 39/53 at the front, so if anyone has this setup please let me know.

That goes into chain length, all i did was run the chain in the big (27) big (53) combo, and add a link to allow for the mech, well it was a 32/50 for me, but thats the principle

Worth taking a lot of care over breaking a chain! I didn't take notice of the inner and out half of the chain links (pictures on the link above)
