How is the preset compression on the R model - set up well for generally riding and light FR?
or is the RC2 recommended for any fair size dropping?

  • I've just got the R version. I haven't tried the RC version so can't directly compare but the performance of the fork has been nothing short of mind blowing! Compared to my 32 talas with quick release it feels like I'm going downhill on a big comfy sofa :D So much more control as well.

    I have the 36 r's with the adjustable 100mm-130mm-160mm
    on my Orange 5 AM

Fab fork close down on the ups and open up to 160mm on the downs
They feel solid and point in the direction you want and regardless
whats in the way they fly over and dont bounce you off the line

Only thing is now im searching for the next big thing i can ride over?
Need to buy some body armour now.

There is a test on these forks in this months What Mountain Bike
they say just buy them very expensive i know but worth every penny.

Dont get the last years ones as there is a LOT of changes to these forks

Personaly i only believe in manual lock out on all forks

Buy them as what Ride the Lakes says its like riding on
your sofa with my Fox RP 23 on the rear FAB Forks
