Fausto Coppi Torino - is it any cop?
This one here:
http://www.discountbicycles.co.uk/jshopfiles/Fausto_Coppi_Road_Bikes.htm
A friend has a as new example, and wants £150 for it.
Any good?
Either thinking as a winter bike, or my brothers gf is after a cheapy roady.
No carbon forks, but what do you think to the rest of the spec?

Just a sensibly specced out budget bike. It's unlikely, but not impossible, that the frame was made in Italy, if that is a consideration. It's also quite pretty for a budget bike. I would not worry about a carbon fork for 150 pounds.....0

I've got one of these. I'm really happy with the frame. I specced up the group to Ultegra and upped the wheels to Ksyrium Equipes and it's spot on. Never felt the need for a carbon bike.
I have upped the forks to carbon forks as well though as I wanted some aero forks as I time trial on it as well. The original forks were a bit clunky.

I have a Coppi San Remo and the frame outlived every other bike frame I've owned. The frame is bullet proof and great for upgrading.Paul0
