Am planning a short Morocco trip and will be flying into Marrakech. I want to get to Fes fast so thinking of taking the train. Does anyone know about how I can get to the rail station from the airport? (I am not at all sure about cycling into this major and congested city.....) Do they allow bikes on the train? Any help would be really appreciated.TIA

Hi,m can't talk to taking a bike on the train, but Moroccan trains I have used are very good. When I arrived into Marrakesh with a bike I threw it in a taxi to get into town. was pretty easy, even though it didn't have folding seats (old Merc saloon) the cabbies are used to taking odd loads around so always have some rope and stuff in the trunk.

Just cycle it...... its not that bad. Most of the roads I cycled on in Marrakech were pretty wide, a lot had lanes for bikes and scooters. But make sure you have a map of the city before you arrive (we couldn't find one at the airport so had to navigate out of Marrakech with a 1:800000 map - not easy).
    More problems but still living....

depends what time you arrive, it was pitch dark when I got in, buggered if I was going to faff around navigating at night. Daytime agree, the roads in the city were pretty good and navigation not hard.
