Rear derailleur - quick question

I am looking for a rear derailleur that won't knock up against the frame when going over bumps. Will an XT fix that problem ?

    fit a rubber pad frame or mech. or maybe a shadow mech ( but i think it will still do) or change to a Sram mech and shifter.
