Hi everyone,
I am new here and just got my first "quality" bike and the thread on the crank arm has gone.
I have manged to get a new crank arm to avoid paying over £100 on a new crank set however does anyone know how this happened?
Would Loctite sort this out?
Thanks
Jamie

nope. just correct fitting and some grease or anti seize on the threads."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Hey,
Thanks for the reply. So loctite would not work? Also what's anti seize? Dont i want the thread to grip?
Also it was fitted correctly any thoughts on how this happened so it won't cost me in the future?
Thanks

pedal threads are will known for freezing onto crank arms. and that is something you do not want to happen.
Grease/anti seize (coppa slip) the threads and tighten correctly."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Oright thanks for your help.
Any idea how mine came loose? Wouldn't it be best for me to get something to make it tighter though if this is going to be a common problem?
Thanks

poor fitting or abuse."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Make sure your greased up well on the pedal threads, when ya take em out they strip if they've locked.
Because of this thread I just remembered it's bout time for a grease up on a few parts.2007 Fuji Newest 3.0.
