Hi - I want to do an audax in a week or two (Kingdom of Fife) and so I will need to put mudguards on my bike.

Can anybody recommend some that are really easy to fit and quite cheap.

Thanks - aya

Race blades are very easy to fit, cost about £30.

There's a review of mudguards in this months C+

    Here's the link

    http://www.aukweb.net/cal/index.htm

It starts at Dalmeny - not sure where it goes but there is option for 107km or 210km

If the weather f/c is OK i may try the long one!!

    cheers

Whilst I strongly approve of using guards for bunch riding if the roads are damp, I don't think you HAVE TO use guards for audaxes now UNLESS the organiser makes it a criteria of entry...............which I can't see on the details for that particular event. Maybe check with the organiser to be safe.

    Second the SKS Chromoplastic guards.

    OK thanks for that.

I never did an audax before so I don't want to get off to a bad start by being in trouble!

I never cycled that far before so best I only need worry about that.

    Cheers

    looks interesting...
  • I'd third the chromoplastics - Ribble are doing them cheaper than wiggle at the moment (approx £10-£15).
