Have managed to kill two Squire D Locks in the last 18 months after using them for nearly 10 years. Still got a Paramount but need to replace the dead Protectors. What recomendations can the wise ones here give me. Heard of something called Sold Secure but not sure what it means.

TIA
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Sold secure is an insurance industry based rating, for locks. They are rated bronze, silver or gold. Most insurance companies will advise on which level you require relative to the bike`s worth.

I have a gold rated Kryptonite New York.Abus Granit locks are also gold rated, and these 2 always do well in the reviews.

There is a lot of talk about this with some gold secure chains only taking a few seconds to get through with long arm bolt croppers!

Even my Gold Secure Abus Granit X54 has been breached in a few seconds with a bottle jack!

This link just about sums up the present situation.....
