Tehidy ride on wed 5th of March

Steve is leading a ride around Tehidy woods on Wed this week, all welcome. Meeting at the Illogan car park....at the end of Alexandra road (i think)
If you want to come and don't know where your going Iam meeting Lee at 6.10pm at The county arms pub, next to New County Hall...
should be good... :wink:

    Thanks for starting this thread Helen, I was meant to post this over the weekend but I forgot.

    I rode Tehidy last night with Mark and it was very slippery.

    address of Alexandra Road is:
    Alexandra Road
    Illogan
    REDRUTH
    TR16 4EN

    At the end of Alexandra Road turn right and after 200 yards turn left into the Car Park.

  • i was going to say it will be muddy/messy after the rain over tha past couple of days!! ( i am a mile from the south entrance)
    should be a good ride though! i wont be there as i have no lights abnd wednesday is choir practise for the wife!:(

  • would need someone to look after the littlun as the wife woudl be out! and i really dont think with my riding its sensible to put her in the trailer and bring her along!! ;)

    And it would only make me want to Spend even More money on my bike on a set of lights!! :D

    Was out at Tehidy on Monday with Steve. It's a bit slippy out there!

  • ive got an above view map of tehidy from my os map and google earth if there of any use! there's quite a few little tracks off to the sides of the main ones that are quite good! - only ever go in the daylight! first time i went after not being in there for a long time i got Completely lost and eneded up half way down to gwithian! loL!

    SA boy and I were talking by the cars when you all had gone ,& the police came by, luckly we didn't have to explain wot we were doing there.

    I am planning a 30mile offroader as trainning for Newnham90 which is only 9 weekends away. Truro - carn brea.

    I am up for as many long rides as poss, as I want to train for Newnham too.

    Not forgetting Dartmoor on 30th March, a few 30+ milers would be great.

    BTW I'm off for a week from tomorrow

    ok then -5 or 6 of april any good for anyone .
    truro- bissoe - caharrick- lanner- carn brea- carn marth-poldice- threemilestone.
    90% offroad , 12miles per hour average, one stop on top of carn brea.
    approx 31 miles or 50K. :P

  • 6th of April is good, shall I plan a route around the Truro area? as much of it will be off road as possiable but will have to have some roads...let me know what you think H

  • 13th would be ok....have a ride the weekend after...charity event...mtb again or road..think I might be to slow on a road bike for you..too slow on a mtb bike but not quite as bad!!!!

    This thread has been busy since I was last online.

    Glad you like Tehidy, we only just scratch the surface, there is loads more trails in there.

    I might be up for one of these long ride if you don't mind me tagging along. I'm thinking about doing the 90k Newham route.

  • I am no racing snake..come along and see if you like it...looking to put a post up for a night ride wed if u fancie it.. dont get me wrong some are fast but they wait for us slower ones :lol:
